How To Live Forever

This is the second part of Jesus' sermon on Him being the Bread of Life. Jesus claims to be coming from heaven, causing the stumbling block. The Jews have heard of angels coming down from heaven but never a man. When Jewish persons (or anyone for that matter) have a problem understanding or accepting Jesus, they often refer to His humanity as their excuse for not believing that He came from God. 

Jesus claims deity by using the “I am” language and repeating that He is the “Bread that came down from Heaven.” The Jews understand this language as only to be used about God. Therefore, Jesus is claiming to be God! This is the third time, Jesus refers to the phrase "I Am," and it is again referencing Jesus as the Bread. Thank you for joining us at Cross Waves Church.
