HotSpots

What is a HotSpot

We always like to make sure we are on the same page with some of the terminology we use at Cross Waves. First, a HotSpot is the home or the setting where people come together and watch the weekly Bible message. It is typically the host’s home, which would be the leader or initiator of the HotSpot. However, there are times when someone is passionate about being a disciple-maker, however, their home is not big enough to host a HotSpot, so they ask somebody else to open their home.

A HotSpot is a place where people can come and talk about God and faith within a family setting. We coined the name HotSpot for our groups because that is where weekly videos are being shown. Our name Cross Waves comes from the idea that our weekly Bible messages are crossing over the airwaves.

All you need to have a HotSpot in your home is an Internet connection, a TV big enough that others can watch with you, and a passion to be a disciple-maker. We hope you partner with us as you become a disciple-maker.
