How To Structure Your Prayers
Amazingly, the Bible only records one instance of the disciples asking Jesus to teach them to do something. This is recorded in Luke 11:1 where “one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.’” What follows is an abbreviated form of what we know as “the Lord’s Prayer.” Its expanded and more well-known version occurs in Matthew 6:9–13 in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. This week, we look at how Jesus teaches His followers to pray. Thank you for joining us at Cross Waves Church.
